Sigh form in 1990 as one of the first Japanese black metal bands. Since their first album "Scorn Defeat" (1993) they gradually shift from a traditional black/thrash metal sound, to a more experimental, avant-garde style with many eccentric and eclectic influences. On their later works they use lots of different elements, e.g. groovy rock, symphonic orchestration or circus melodies.
The starting letters of their studio albums form the word "S.I.G.H.S.I.G.H.".
