Mustaine's first emergency ANXIOUS SHOUT to Kill 'em All's thrashing pool of blood. Gar Samuelson was a Jazz-fusion drummer and it shows off, but you have to pay attention to the details. Ellefson was a young male adult playing bass in a funky way and it shows off as well. There is some vicious angst in this unholy musical mess, or so I was told by myself. A sorta reptilian, poisonous and snarling vibe from the vocals pop up now and then inside the songs themselves. Note the relatively curious techninal aspect in the drums + guitars + bass triolets of speedy blues, punky thrashing heavy metal. I mean we are in 1985, after all. If your maniacal head doesn't come off listening to this, then it probably never will. Too bad!
