Son of a bitch, I just found out that ABYSMAL GRIEF had released an album this year too! When will I have time to listen to all these albums?

Great! These things are always fun. How does it work here?

@Avoid: Well, we could wait for January for the voting, or we could just let the December albums be eligible for 2010. If you were talking about releases from previous months that you didn't listen to, don't worry. You can't catch every unique metal album from 2009 :) Nobody is expecting this to be perfect

Heh, no I'm just vexed that I've missed it and want to hear it but cannot afford buying it!

Well, the same happened last year - the Deathspell Omega EP that came out late December was definitely among the top releases that year, but I didn't hear it until mid-January. That's how it goes! But there are enough wicked albums I have heard to make a top 20 without difficulties.

There's a great 2009 album by Inferno (Italy) called Pompa Magna. They are creative and heavy (metal sometimes), but I also feel their sci fi grind 'n' roll description fits them.

Since I have a minuscule knowledge of grind and since we are not strict with the exact genre categorization, I thought of asking you if they fit the bill. If they do, they're on my list :)

If you have the will to help out, I appreciate it! If not, it's not 2012... yet :o
