Haha, the LAIBACH remixes are SUPERIOR and I have great doubts Combichrist could top them! I mean, look at them! http://www.google.se/images?q=combichri ... 26&bih=490

The title has 'anus' on it, so the album must be very good.

Oh I agree, completely :D

Yeah, I know, Andy LaPlegua (or whatever) is not a nice name for a Norwegian person. But I have a remembrance about some Laibach remix for Morbid Angel... maybe my memory is wrong and it didn't suck? I remember it being too much the same song and too few "remix", or even "new mix".

April 25: Altar of Plagues - Mammal

One review says it is akin to White Tomb and not the recent EP. It should be good.

April 26: Primordial - Redemption At The Puritan's Hand

Fuck, and I have to learn about it here or on Fecesbook. I remember the times when Primordial posted news on myspace. So late April, cool, let's see if it goes better than To the Nameless Dead or down the worse road..

Been playing this for the last month and while it's not quite as filled with superiorly catchy tracks as its predecessor, it's very much a solid performance by the best heavy metal group around these days. A bit grimmer and a bit edgier than To the Nameless Dead (and hence a step towards The Gathering Wilderness), with - once again - a splendid fifth track and all the usual passion, depravity and epicness. Would've liked to hear more of the Thin Lizzy influence though, ha ha.

Tomorrow the mail-doodler should bring the new Ulver album as well as the recent rereleases of DHG's 666 and the Thorns/Emperor split - terribly excited about Ulver in particular!

A.N.T.I. LP OUT!!!

I hope I'm not the only one stoked about their return, six years after the mighty Virus STN...!

This year is turning out heavier and heavier. On the death metal side, Autopsy, Morbid Angel, Origin, Hate Eternal, Gorguts (with varying degrees of artistic development, of course...). Who hits the snare the most times? John Longstreth I guess, since he's on two of these...

2011 is the year where you can buy official Demilich merchandice again. The current stock is already sold out but more will be made.

Heh, probably not :) http://avantgarde-metal.com/content/reviews2.php?id=6 - my first review here I think! Anyway, they are/were great at being very French and very depraved and very ecclectic.

If anyone is completely upset that Steve Tucker has long since left Morbid Angel and Blasphemer has long since left Mayhem, I'd recommend NADER SADEK (http://www.season-of-mist.com/news/nade ... 2011-05-24). I don't really care about who Sadek is - some Egyptian multi-instrumentalist - but his dreamteam of musicians - the ones mentioned above, plus none other than Flo Mournier of Cryptopsy - makes me warm inside. Listening to the sample track in the link above is even better. Not really groundbreaking, but I liked it a lot and will definitely check out the whole album... I expected Necrophagist-noodling, and got Tucker-lava & ordo ad chao-menace.

The Konsortium demo was very nice, but the album sound seems too 2000ish. Anyway I'll have to check it out.
