I'm Viktor, I'm Swedish and 22 years old
I'm kinda new to the whole AGM scene so I'll need some help finding music.
I have been a fan of Meshuggah and Dillinger Escape Plan for a few years plus some post-rock stuff like Mono, ISIS, Neurosis and things like that. And I worship Mike Patton as a god.

I'm a girl from Spain -sorry for future English mistakes-. I registered here because of the reviews on Primordial's To The Nameless Dead and Void Of Silence's Human Antithesis. I liked very much so I wanted to express my appreciation for them.
Thanks to someone registered here (I just saw he wrote somewhere below) I know Avantgarde-metal from some time ago and sometime I've read reviews and interviews. I think they are different than in other media, closer to artists as human and not only as art workers.
Looking on the website I noticed I've a lot of avantgarde music to listen to but in fact I'm inside the movement since I listened to Celtic Frost, Arcturus, Ved Buens Ende, Virus, Pan.Thy.Monium, Void Of Silence and many other stars...
Now I'm going to search for some topics here...

Swanö has his share in the DIABOLICAL MASQUERADE review, but concerning his many involvements much is missing here, agreed.

Welcome Imrama!
Adryuu, you are right. PAN-THY-MONIUM definitely are groundbreakers in avant-garde metal. So far we only have reviewed "Khaooos And Kon-Fus-Ion". Hope we can fill this gap within the next couple of months.

My name is Lasse, 26 years old, from Denmark.
My favourite bands include Arcturus, Darkthrone, Ulver, Enslaved and Morbid Angel, and I tend to like many of the artists being reviewed and interviewed on this site.
Some of my favourite beers include Mikkeller - Monk's Elixir and St. Feuillien - Bruin.
My favourite video games are Baldur's Gate - Tales of the Sword Coast and Fallout 2.
I am the vocalist and rythm guitarist of Sepulchrum. We are currently recording our first demo.

I'm Lars, soon to be 19, from Croatia
I'm relatively new to the AGM scene (Listened to a few bands, but didn't start really digging till a month ago). HUGE fan of unique music
Favourite bands include unexpect, polkadot cadaver, ayreon, akphaezya, machinae supremacy, pin-up went down, stolen babies etc...
Big fan of the site, there are some really good and funny reviews (although I'm surprised I didn't find any polkadot cadaver or stolen babies stuff here )
A salute to fellow mind travelers

Hey all, I am Milos, aged 22, from Czech republic, living nearby Ostrava city.
I am into avant-garde metal since my 18, I started with bands like Solefald, Ulver, Atrox, Ved buens ende, Korova(kill), Devil Doll, 3rd and the mortal, now I like also older avant/prog stuff like Univers zero, Art zoyd, Eskaton, Pere ubu etc.
My other interests are philosophy (Schopenhauer), some eastern teaching (OSHO), nature, sports, gigs, movies, games.
I am happy to join fellow avant.metallers and I hope that I'll explore some new, great, killing stuff here!

I`m new to the forum but not new to metal of course. I`m a native of Edinburgh, Scotland working as a GIS Professional. Basically I`m a map/geography geek. I like my real ales - sipping from a bottle of hobgoblin as I type and of course I like my metal. Got Alter of Plagues latest slice of post bm, white tomb playing in the background this very moment. Favourite band is probably the mighty neurosis. I go and see a lot of gigs/festivals here in scotland/uk and across europe - well mainly scandinavia. I guess my defining avantegarde moment would be seeing Arcturus play at the Inferno metal festival in norway in 2005. I still remember the stage acts .

it's of no consequence who i am. my mother had a hard and long time - ten hours time - bringing me to light of day .. she saw me out like a slight case of "fetus noose", sister slapped me once or twice and i cried out. this can be seen as a metaphor for my attitude towards life.

so... ehm hello
I am Kim, a Belgian who likes his daily cup of avant garde metal. When well prepared, it is the finest dish out there (not unlike mixed soup)... Recipes that I prefer are Mr Bungle, Estradasphere, Maudlin of the Well, Kayo Dot, Secret Chiefs 3, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Alamaailman Vasarat...
nah really
I am Belgian who likes the music and plays Bass... next to that I spend my time by working, going for walks, !!!trying!!! to compose and just reading a lot of bogus (psychology books, history, Discworld...)
