Who made a myspace (??!!) page for Burzukh ?

Juts wondering if it is someone from these parts.............

and since my server does not allow me to view it .....what is on it (especially what music ?)

Well I don't know WHO made a myspace page of your band, but there's only one song presented on there, and its name is BURNING SHADOWS.

In the band members section, here is what is written:

Syed Suleiman Ali - responsible for all guitars, bass , drums and vocals as well as production
Former/Past members-Ahsan Naqvi, Faraz Ahmad, Syed Anwar

In the about Burzukh section, it is written:

We are the first metal band from Pakistan.

For now, the page contains 12 myspace friends, who are:

I can't give you more informations than this, cos that's all there really is on the myspace page for now.

This sounds like what happened when someone started a last.fm for me, though I think it automatically happens when you put music into a last.fm player.

I'm glad to have people acknowledge my music, but it would be nice if they let me know ahead of time. Hopefully they say that your page is a "fan" page, and not "the official Burzukh" myspace page. I went in and kind of "took over" the last.fm page for myself and uploaded a few albums, but you can't do that with Myspace.

Hey, as long as they get the links to your music correct, and a lot of people listen and like it, then great!

or if not, at least upload stuff from the new album (whats the space allocation for song uploads?) and delete everything else on the page..freinds info everything...make it a very minimal page with just the logo and the songs

Nah, not rude. In some perspectives, he/she/it is obviously doing you a favour promoting your music, but doing it without your consent always sucks (if he/she/it doesn't clearly state so on the site, which might be the case...). I thought I'd found Diapsiquir on myspace, but noooh it was just a stupid fan-page.

And then is the question whether you are willing to support Rupert Murdoch and the Fox Corporations. I mean, I can clearly see why one wouldn't be.

Of course, she didn't create it to offend you, Suleiman. And she accept to get rid of it if you wish.

But, I think it could be a great opportunity to promote your music. What's the deal of never being on myspace ?

I believe I read that Suleiman does not have access to Myspace - it is blocked, so he couldn't get to it anyway. I am actually blocked from Myspace at work (most companies are nowadays).

Maybe the fan who set up the page would be kind enough to include links to his album downloads and his webpage/blog page so other fans could have access?

Gotcha - and in theory, I agree, ... however, I've actually gotten some great feedback and networking thru the Evil Empire of Myspace. I guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite, but I figure I may as well use the system to my advantage as long as I can get to it for free. When I have to pay for it - then I'll drop it like a lead balloon.

I find it (the Evil Empire of Myspace, which we can now refer to as the EEOM) is far more effective than last.fm or depending on my own blogspot page for feedack/networking/promotion, since it is far less well known. My albums have now been downloaded by thousands of people worldwide, which I am sure would not have happened without the EEOM.

Dealing with the Devil is a tricky proposition, but sometimes worth the risk, and as long as YOU establish your own guidelines.

thanx everyone for the help..esepcially Ben for the info...i got in touch with the girl (a very nice person btw)...and decided upon keeping the page...since i got to see it and it is clearly a "fan site" (be still my flying ego)..but she will update it with some newer stuff......
i got fans in australia ...aaaaw..shucks !!
