There was, they were planned on being there from the start, but no-one felt that they could do justice to them with the profile (only hearing certain albums and whatnot) or those who could were busy, everyone's had a lot on their plate recently. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the story though.

Just wanted to say thanks for the Klabautamann review. I've never heard of these guys before, and now I can't stop listening to the album. I recommended both it and your review to the Teeth of the Divine forum, where they also had a very positive reaction to the album.

I'm going to in one moment. Just finished listening to the new Woburn House and fuck is it good. Every Zeitgeister release so far deserves a review!

Yes, so far I can second that. But even amongst the excellent other Zeitgeister-Releases "Merkur" has claimed the throne, and after listening to it I had to revalue my three most important metal releases in the first decade of the new millenium:
ABIGOR - Fractal Possession
ENSLAVED - Vertebrae
KLABAUTAMANN - Merkur
Yes, I think it´s THAT good.

There's a part I can really tell I actually dislike it's the Merkur song I think, there's a 3x4 blast beat that fits well with some acoustic guitars and then turns to a faster, 4x4 blast beat and then I go into WTF mode. But then it ends and the album goes on very well. But that tiny detail makes the album not possibly perfect for me. At first it was the vocals, but now I don't dislike them. Anyway, yet having to listen to a full Valborg album, Klabautamann is my less loved Zeitgeister project, but I like it (Merkur) better with every listen (and yes, it's very awesome).
But as I said, I repeat, this site HAS to get Woburn House reviews. Both albums are awesome and fit very much with the web in my opinion.

This is actually my favourite song! The Part is not WTF, it´s perfect 70´s madness. The part could have been on a SANTANA-album back then. I think I´ll have a sincere talk with your parents concerning your musical education, Adryuu.

Nah, listened to it again (the album), and the part sounded just a pair of minutes ago. It could be just me, I'm getting older and tend to dislike speed for the sake of speed and blastbeats just for the sake of blastbeats. I think the 3x4 was already sufficient but yes, my musical education was a bit faulty - although I'm glad to have fixed it all by myself in all these years.
Anyway it's indeed one of the best songs and the rest of it is outstanding with that bluesy part you talk about.
On the other hand, not sure if we are understanding well each other, the part that WTFs me is actually the 4x4 blast beat. The next thing is back to awesome. But the extra ultra speed just crashed with me. I like Klabautamann and Ekpyrosis a bit slower.

Okay, now I see. Yes, this would not have been necessary, you are right. But it´s only seconds, so who cares

The Musk Ox review was tasteful and enjoyable. Though I still like Vàli better, this release did not fail to thoroughly impress and move me.
To anyone who likes this - also check out the 3 demos:
Entre La Terre Et Le Ciel (2006)
Entre Les Nuages Et La Neige (2007)
Entre Le Soleil Et Les Arbres (2008)
Equally amazing (though not as richly produced), beautiful artwork too!

Great review of Maudlin of the Well's "Part the 2nd" - I don't think we'll ever hear the old death/doomy, blast-beaty motW again, and that's okay. Kayo Dot's influence has indeed overtaken, but that's really not a bad thing. This is great sounding, intelligent music that shows maturity, talent and depth.

Going through old reviews and sampling the bands, I've noticed that DKDANCE quoted Suleiman's review (top left of the page, where it says the origin of the band). Congratulations!

The Soundbyte - City of Glass
probably that's the best I have heard from the woman singing in Memoirs .. the second half of the album has songs that part with Rivers of Broken Glass: The Winds, Destiny, but The Winds is the pearl song of the album, nonetheless there are other highlights featured on their My Space. Now, I feel that Rivers of broken glass deserves some word straightening the scales, if praise is the measure and The 3rd & the Mortal is on the other plate, ... "dark rock", I wouldn't have stopped at such description for Rivers of Broken Glass - one song of it beats The 3rd & the Mortal at one of their basic qualities from the pre-Memoirs period, .. so obviously the Soundbyte albums aren't parallel to Painting on Glass and Memoirs; In this Room is too extreme to fit the juxtaposition.
For me Painting... and In this Room have achieved peaks that were liberating for reaching places of destination without any doubt on my side. Then I've come to know The Soundbyte. It pampers the listener, so eventually maybe "dark rock" is, to the point of carriage, a subliminally truthful description, even for both albums, but yet... the Coordinates song is very clearly definite and shoots off a completely different second CD by Trond and company.
