awww come on tentakel xD the fluorescent orchestra remix is GREAT [eccept for the gangsta paradise style, yea that sucks) but besides that is a great song

I´m sorry, but I just can´t get myself to like that song as much as the others... Somehow it feels constructed on purpose to me.

What are we talking about? What is the "fluorescent orchestra" ?? I think I missed a reference somewhere.

Hey, off subject here, but still sort of related to reviews: Has anyone seen the Dark Funeral Live DVD yet? I know it's not AGM, but I keep reading reviews that it is surprisingly good, and was wondering if anyone here would agree before I fork up the $$$ for it.

If it was a show recorded in South America I wouldn´t be surprised it´s good. Fans are crazy down there! Lo te dijo: son totalmente loco! :D

Post Tentakel P. 's review of Hail Horror Hail
Tentakel P. 's review of Hail Horror Hail

Good review about an insane band, and I love the Ligano-rip. Appropriate in this case.

I'm a big fan of Sigh, though I find their Gallows Gallery album pretty much un-listen-able. The production is just not good. But they made up for it with Hangman's Hymn which is just brilliant.

Thanks for the appreciation!

"Gallows Gallery" should be re-released any day now with a new mixing/mastering; obviously SIGH themselves didn´t like it and wanted to do it again. James Murphy did it this time.

Though I was a bit astonished with the sound (and the new singing style) at first, I found the first "Gallows Gallery" version not that bad at all. But I can see it´s something that takes getting used to...

My favourite (and maybe the most avantgarde from this avantgarde band :-) ) is "Imaginary Sonicscape". Of course "Horror" is a great classic as well, more colourful than "Dread Dreams" f.ex... "Gallows" is a bit poor, but I can imagine some fans like it. And "Hangman" is a perfect comeback to the more dynamic expression, catchy album!

Exactly, Ï have the same preferences :-)
"Horror" is sold out, so I am really glad that my friend caught the original CD last year in some small shop when she was in Bergen and brought it here for me...:-) (Terrible price 160 norwegian crowns = cca 20 euro, but it is well worth...)

I am very tempted to write a review on Sigh because I really don´t see the big deal about them ;)

Me neither, I've listened to Scorn Defeat (gotta hear the roots), Imaginary Soundscape (as that seems to be their most AGM) and Hanghan's Hymn (to be up to date), but nothing has really impressed me. The incorporated sections, the classical stuff and all that, doesn't really work for me, they sound out of place. But I guess I should listen a bit more before commenting, but wtf...

[np: Voivod - The Outer Limits; surprisingly good, a band of the Eighties that actually made it into the Nineties without completely sucking, just changing!]

Dude I paid 125 Euros for an original copy of Blut Aus Nord Memoria Vetusta - Fathers of The Icy Age. Agreed, that´s crazy but I had to have it haha.

NOTE: that´s not the rerelease with the new cover, that´s the original copy!

Try to switch on the "Central European (Windows)" encoding in your explorer... I guess the Croatians have the same problem here...:-)
