Ok well i saw 'A Clockwork Orange' for the first time last night and it was incredibly good, love the language and the whole chaotic feeling to it, definitely going to have to get the book now

Oh yes, but l like his more psychological movies best. My favorite, although it's got a way slower pace than most of his movies, is Deadringers, Jeremy Irons plays a codependent identical twin-couple, who's lives fall apart when one of them wants to break free.
Right now I'm watching Evil Ed, a swedish mid 90's splatter-movie in english with national icon Gert Fylking. I'm not shure whether to view it as a splatter film parody, a comment on the then booming depate on video-violence, or just a really crappy movie. Either way i love it.

haha! Gert Fylking Sverige... ja fy fan, minns när de visade Evil Ed på bussen ner till Wacken. tjena... wonderful movie.
saw a bit of The DaVinci Code yesterday... haven't read the book and I don't want to, but seriously.... I could only stand the movie about 20 minutes - there wasn't any logic at all anywhere. Seems like they just did a resume of the book, like "hey, you guys who read the book, this is what it would look like if you put Tom Hanks in the middle" - the few scenes I saw were impossible to follow without reading the book. Which I don't want to.
Ah goddamn, I can't drop this, it was so horrendously bad! Jesus christ!

The DaVinci Code The Movie really doesn't do justice to the book at all, you really have to read it to fully appreciate how pointless it is. flames wrote: Yesterday evening - Taxidermia with superb Amon Tobin´s soundtrack!!

What's pointless, the movie, or the book itself?? I saw it about a week ago, not having read the book. It was an okay movie, but very confusing about who was on who's side, who wanted who dead, who was revealing what facts, etc.

The book naturally, it actually makes much more sense as a movie, it's just, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" with some murders thrown in and a cliffhanger in every chapter. I'm gonna continue reading "Naked Lunch" now.

ed. I don't like Da Vinci Code movie. It's little bit 'secret which reveals in the secret when nobody is awaiting it' and when watching it second time, it was boring a lot without any further contribution for me.

Hieronymusch: yes! Dead Man is a great great movie. Not to forget Johnny Depp in one of his best performances, if I'm not misremembering.

I think it got lost among all his Fear & Loathing, Tim Burtonesquery & mother-in-laws' dreamishness. It's pretty independent.

for some reason it reminds me of another western though there is absolutrly no relation: renegae (its a based on a vertigo comic) and kicks serious butt...very twisted..........
