It´s Irish stout now, easy to prepare, good for greenhorns. Black, bitter and high voltage, how I like it. But the second fermenation + rest take three months for stout, so I will prepare special christmas honey beer for celebrating (awaiting child in few weeks).

It´s quite easy to prepare if you are using malt extract, it´s like homemade wine.

Congrats for the upcoming birth, although I'm not very fan of bringing new lives to this fucked up world, but hey, I haven't had a child ever so I don't really know how it is.

It's a long time I don't drink alcohol things, but the last things I enjoyed were import/foreign beers. Here you can get few, but when I was in Germany I tried some non-alcoholic beers (I was on medication so I couldn't taste any alcohol) and all of them were great. Non-alcoholic! I like german import beers like Paulaner, Franziskaner... the more typical I guess. But I like more the Irish red beer Murphy. I guess I'm not too versed in brands and such, but I like my cold beers from time to time.

Also cider. "Sidra asturiana bien escanciada". That means Asturian cider well poured into the vase (holding the bottle up high and the vase well below). There's a tradition with that in a region of the north of Spain, Asturias.

Harder alcohol is too hard for me after the huge drunk times I had in the past.

And for brewing, I don't know if anyone is familiar to Orujo, it's a liquor made with different things. Some people do it with herbs, fruits and such. My uncle makes it with lemon and I still have a bottle he gave me, it's too fucking graded for me, hahah. I like herb liquours because they are digestive, a bit after a big dinner feels so sweet to one's body.

There's also a traditional alcoholic concoction in the north of Spain, this time in Galiza, that has a preparation ritual involving incantations and invocations of meigas (witches). The thing is called queimada and tastes very sweet, but hard if well done. It is literally burnt (to burn all the sugar), and I have tasted it the moment it's done and hot and it's very good.

But as I said, my beverages are just for occasions. The only thing I drink often, apart from water or refreshments, is some teas, preferably rooibos. Not even coffee anymore, but I liked it a lot.

I'd like to brew my own beers, whiskeys and liquours even if I drinked just a few of them!

Right, Cider is also in a plan. I´d like to prepare these kinds of special bewerages, it´s really interesting. Neither me don´t drink too much alcohol now, this is mostly for ´tasty purposes´. But going to plant some fruit trees in Spring, with idea of my own destilates then.

Yesterday I prepared new one, this time it´s wheat beer with oranges and some spice. Result should be comparable to Hoegaarden or other belgium fruit beers.

I´ve got small presentation from last one, want to see some photos?

yess photos and samples :D

My bandmates and I producet a drink we named Kavaria, it's brutal, balkan and suicidal

It's actually normal turkish coffe....cooked in rakija (homemade moonshine, pálenka(cz))

So it's a drink combinig coffe and hot and very strong alcohol. It can be also amde with vodka but it tastes better with homemade herb o plumb liquor. A fair amount of sugar is added.

Be careful :p

I've discovered I do NOT like Scotch or Whiskey. Blegh!

Vodka rules - Smirnoff Lime Twist. Mmmmmm. Mixed with some Cranberry juice.

After few tries with the can concentrates (stout, belgian Ambiorix, some wheat beer..) I´m going to brew directly from a malt. Now I am finishing with preparations (chiller, new boiling pot shoudl arrive today, colander somehow already done...malt mixer etc) and tomorrow I´d brew one!
