My first digital music purchase! "Crappy MP3?", you ask. Nope, WAV. I am going to FLAC it.

 Re: Our latest music buyings
Not a purchase but a gift: ORNETTE COLEMAN's classic Free Jazz album.
Bought, but not yet paid for: UTMARKEN 3xc20 box. Five guys up in Gothenburg who ran the Utmarken venue/label/etc, which was a focal point for the west coast underground scene in Sweden the past three years, organizing events with everything from the harshest harsh noise and power electronics to the prettiest dreamy folk pop. Now closed, they finished the project off with this ridiculously oversized cassette box, with each of the six sides dedicated to each of their projects. Mostly lo-fi industrial electronics, tape loops, metal scratching, witch house, bleak folk rock, vomit sounds et c. All very good. ÄTTESTUPA, LUST FOR YOUTH, SEWER ELECTION, SKUGGOR, BLODVITE and ARV & MILJÖ are the projects. A nice epitaph for the whole ordeal.

 Re: Our latest music buyings
Finally had some money and visited a record fair in Lund this Saturday. Came home with these LPs: TANGERINGE DREAM - Force Majeure TANGERINE DREAM - Encore EDGAR FROESE - Stuntman KRAFTWERK - Autobahn KRAFTWERK - Computerworld VENOM - Black Metal GREENSLADE - Time & Tide. Check out the cover! DESTRUCTION - Cracked Brain. Been spinning these all weekend, especially Autobahn. KRAFTWERK is the greatest band ever. Also acquired these some week ago: PIG DESTROYER - Natasha REGURGITATE - Sickening Bliss.

 Re: Our latest music buyings
Holy crap, I just payed for mp3s. Found SILENTIST's bandcamp, with a "pay what you want"-cost, and since I haven't found anywhere to buy their releases on Celestial Gang (whose website is long since down), I couldn't resist. How much I paid? None of your business! As soon as I come across the physical copies I'll get them (the "Tunnel" 7" looks lonely with it's 6½ minutes awesomeness). The Death Aesthetics sampler featured on of their songs which just blew my mind, and so far the 3 eps (Chariot Swing, House on the Hill and Nightingales) + the whole self-titled album seems... as amazing as I wished. Might just be a new favourite band, this here.
Also, yesterday: found CANNIBAL CORPSE - The Bleeding + a RED HARVEST album from 2000 for only 5+2 euros, so down my bag they went. Other acquisitions these days include a set of 5 lps from Danish noise/industrial label Posh Isolation (LR, LR+PUCE MARY, DAMIEN DUBROVNIK, Christian Stadsgaard + one v/a), most of them are pretty damn good, and a full-length from the obscure Swedish death industrial project IRGUN ZWAI LEUMI (I think they're called). + re-releases of EX.ORDER and OVMN, death industrial / harsh noise respectively. I really don't spend muchmoney on metal these days... a pity.

Just bought: Joe Bonamassa - Live at the Royal Albert Hall - this guy sounds like Billy Gibbons, Gary Moore and Eric Johnson - what a talented guitarist. highly recommended. Yes - Live at Montreaux Jazz Festival 2003 - THE classic line-up plays the "hits". Steve Howe's playing is much "cleaner" now (less overdrive/distortion - much more jazzy/country-influenced), but still pretty good for guys almost 60. Wolves in the Throne Room - Live at Roadburn - I honestly wasn't that impressed with these guys. Maybe it'll take a few more listens, but I got really bored watching the live DVD.
