Post Successful invocation of God Horus...
I read some youtube comments following some Behemoth "videos" and there was one about European bands having or probably using.. I didn't quite memorize it, cause the whole sequence of comments rather pissed me off .. so this guy was approximately saying that European bands were dealing with, could we settle on, a lot of cultural content,
... there was also the option of not caring about the lyrics message in that particular case
these days I'm completely under the influence of their last album and I don't want to bother anyone of you guys who might be having a lot more sensible business to tend to .. I watched and eventually there's explanation added pertaining :

"wrote these verses after my journey across Egypts entirety which I made in April 2004 e.v. but direct inspiration was successful invocation ov God Horus I performed in city of Cairo exactly 100 years after Crowley received the text ov "The Book of the Law".

As far as I know, Nergal is indeed heavily influened by Crowley´s Satanism. So is Peter of VADER too, by the way. Most of VADER´s booklets have introductions for each song, explaining the lyrics. Some of BEHEMOTH´s lyrics are explained in the booklet as well. And there are many interviews with Nergal explaining those things. Try a google search for "Nergal interview Crowley" or something like that and you should find all you need.

thank you, looks like I'll be heading for an unexpected course, but it may be kinda interesting. Always, since I was a kid, I've been mystified by all these stories and today, still without a stable personal life of mine, I'm allured into these roads where the only thing I can really relate to is : "Oh, Serpent Thou Art God!". To me this is like when Nieztsche (I'm always bla-bla about Nieztsche for many trivial reasons) is speaking about good and evil or when Henry Miller is saying that it takes only a crumb to bury you alive (you know, the holding on to events, the fear of let go) ... I don't think someone will seriously oppose me when I say that one major.., I won't pin down that it's primal, but still it's a major ingredient of his written-down-idea, namely the complete surrender or what he calls the "primal flux".

I've seen some of the "behind the scenes" videos on YouTube for this upcoming album. It's always interesting to see a band like this in the studio - reminds you that they really are talented and capable musicians.

It's funny because I almost never read any of the lyrics to any of this kind of music. The vocals are always just an other instrument to me - they could be singing about butterflies or rainbows and it really wouldn't make a difference to me. I only see these bands as interesting and adept musicians, and not weird characters following some obscure religion or philosophy. I think a lot of it is "put on" for show and effect anyway, but that could be just me.

some of the philosphy and the way they mix up different point of views in the lyrics and thmes is intersting and adds to the music...rather than the rhtymic barking vox as instrumenst approach

the way bands like morbid angel (th necronomicon haha and sumerian mythology), behemoth (satanism, crowley, hinduism), vader (war, satanism, ancient crowley-ish dieties), cradle of fitlh (history, kabbalah, crowley etc) do it makes it so interesting

and the sometimes in mixing and matching to fit the msuci they come up with really powerful stuff without really knowing what they are creating...chaos resulting in order
