Well, let's see... I'm josh, 16 and I live in shitty NJ. I'm a multi-instrumentalist and song-writer. My band Antedilluvian Patriarch has been around for 3 years-- although I'm the only current member. I play lead guitar. It's AGM, but it was originally Melodic/Symphonic Extreme Metal with Prog-Metal and Power Metal. It eventually started to encompass a little bit of everything.

My fave bands are Nevermore, Old Man's Child, SlipKnoT, Dream Theater, Arcturus, Tool and CoF. Tons of others though. I'm also anti-christian, a philosopher, and Atheistic Satanist. So hi.

I don't think I've ever met someone who likes Old Man's Child, Arcturus and Slipknot, but welcome all the same :D

Greetings all,

Name's Benjamin. Music adorer since birth in the late seventies. Doom, BM and Folk addict above all, this hard-to-please fucker spends most of his very own portion of warped spacetime reminiscing old journeys and strolling through Westphalian wood plantations. Occasionally observing timid (though grim) deer specimen and squirrels mating. Throwing pissed-off glances at insects. Raising an evil eyebrow to most humans. Desperately trying to resist the urge of injecting heroin into his swollen testicles, clinging to long lost virtues of brotherly love and non-hedonistic blessings instead. Closely affiliated with the local forest midget crowd, forever scheming against modernity and its paradigm of shaved ass-hair. Appalled by the bigotry of contemporary society, this stalwart soldier of the dark age rather inhales the crisp morning air of a young, promising summer day in isolation. Emotionally matured through ephemeral insights of love's futility and the perpetual weakness of the flesh, he finds solace in the acoustic meanderings of Disembowelment, Esoteric, King Crimson, Current 93, 3rd And The Mortal, most of the old canon we all tacitly and implicitly agree on (you name it, I probably love it) - as well as numerous comparitively new bands and releases featured on this site.

All right! Until the next time. May the forest midgets tuck you in. Over and out. B.

Now here I am on this site. A curious situation indeed...
May as well introduce myself:
My name is Roger and I am a complete loser, nerd, and lover of things people don't seem to like or take interest in. With that said, I feel right at home in an obscure forum like your very own.
Not to say I think you are all in the same social-level as myself, I'm sure you're all just a big, lovable, and otherwise well-adjusted gaggle of pleasant smelling music connoisseurs. Let us hope it stays that way.
My outside of music interests include all things esoteric, psychedelic, counter-cultural, occult, surreal, novel, avant-garde and unorthodox. To be more specific, I enjoy any selection of grindhouse/art/gore film, surreal/dada/minimalist art in any material medium, anthropological/social topics, philosophy, psychology, music theory, prog/kraut/experimental/zeuhl/avant-garde/jazz/classical/noise/grind and death and black metal of every variety(save the more melodic and/or traditional renditions of the two genres). Not to mention books on any of the above topics and then some.
Plenty has probably been left out, but nobody really wants to read this anyhow. In any case, I hope to contribute positively on this forum whenever is convenient for whoever. Who in particular will be decided at a later time, for another day.
And kudos, hello, and toodle-oo to whoever read this.
I'm out! [:

Figured I might as well post a short bio...

My name is Ryan, I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (It's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que which is Algonquin for "the good land"). I'm 26 and a history student at the university here. I joined the Army out of high school, hence my late start at university. :?

I listen to just about any genre of music except for Country, Techno, and Rap (though I do have an appreciation for some of the old rappers and groups like NWA, Ice-T, Ice Cube, etc., but I absolutely abhor Country). I've been listening to extreme metal since I was 12, the first album I bought was Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse. Dødheimsgard is and always will be my favorite band (I have a tattoo of the pentagram from the 666 International CD on my shoulder).

I love beer and cigarettes. Living in the "drunkest city in the US" I get the privilege of also living in the city with the largest number of microbreweries in the country, which is awesome. And some people have told me I look like Johan Hegg and/or Jesus.

WHAT? You have NEVER watched "Wayne´s World"? If you had, you´d know! Ask Alice Cooper!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Wayne Campbell: So, do you come to Milwaukee often?

Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers began visiting here in the late 16th century.

Pete: Hey, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?

Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. In fact , it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."

Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that.

now, I have to introduce myself but I don't have anything special to say about myself. If something new and inspiring happens to me I will tell. My days are very simple, I guess, we can also say they are poor, but I'm trying to get the encouraging moments, if they come, into a proper mood to continue on my probably miserable routine.

I'm not very enthusiastic about music these days, probably they'll round up into months, maybe it depends on my mental state. My way of life is relatively slow where I live and I'm thinking about what is happening to the figure, the silhouette that I appear to be in the life of the city in the middle of September.

Felt I should give a decent introduction, but I can say anything positive. Whether good or bad comes, I'll try to stay in shape and hang around.

Greetings!
