Yeah for the last year and a half I've been digging trough hardcore and crust punk a lot, mainly to the underground bands in croatia (some are quite connected with (ag)metal bands here) and I found the music very enjoyable.

Some of the bigger bands that I like are

Tragedy, His Hero is Gone, Wolfbrigade, Disfear, Amebix...and many more ofc.

canada has some great crust bands like Against Empire, Iskra, Born Dead Icons (!!!), After the Bombs etc.

Amok - great hardcore mixed with metal influences http://www.run-amok.org-> U can download one EP on their site, I recommend it

Dislike - crust, latley flerting with metal, great band

Fight Back- older cult hardcore band

Intoxicate - great crust with a lot of slow parts, have a twist of their own

Ljubisa Samardzic - fabulous metalized hardcore, worth a listen even if you don't believe you'd like souch music (that's how I started)

Senata fox - great fast hardcore with very satyrical lyrics and short songs

well, I enjoy the odd crust or käng bonanza - oldies like Discharge or Amebix... many Swedish bands, d-beat as a lifestyle you know. grew up with punk friends (metalheads, goths, punks, all a bunch of misfits) so it's come naturally. the old ones, Mob 47, Moderat Likvidation, Totalitär... Atomvinter, Svart Snö, Skitsystem (whom I guess you all know)... all our three thousand DIS-bands - just found a fanzine called "Disbäver" (disbeaver)... !!! ...
SLASKFITTORNA should also be mentioned. very raw & genital.
RAMAYANA. saw these guys live last summer, blew me the fuck away. D-BEAT AAARGJHH!!! everything is wrong lets piss on it!!!

"gutter/slush cunts"). we have this punkrock hybrid in Sweden called "genital rock" (könsrock) - horribly amateurishly played & recorded (near BM lofi standards) music with insanely offensive & immature lyrics (old men farting semen, your dad having sex with Santa claus in the garden etc). I think SLASKFITTORNA is part of that... aberration. small town teenagers drunk on MÄSK and alcogel mixed w/ fanta.

and yeah today i was listening to blood for blood...whose first few releases are possibly the only sincere Nu-USA pure hardcore i had heard in the 90's...but it has nothing to do with crust...but everything to do with breaking skulls
