Hello, Hola, Bonjour, Hallo, Salam Alaykom,
I am Trident, I have no nationality and I love music from all genres. A selection of my favorite acts and bands goes as follows:
Agalloch, Air, Amon Amarth, Anathema, Ancient Rites, Arcturus, Asgaroth, Bal Sagoth, Belenos, Black Sabbath, Blind Guardian, Blut Aus Nord, Bob Marley, Bolt Thrower, Borknagar, Candlemass, Dark Age, Dark Fortress, Dark Moor, Dark Tranquillity, Darkane, Darkspace, Death, Decapitated, Disillusion, Dissection, DJ Cam, DJ Hype, DJ Krush, Dol Ammad, Ektomorf, Emperor, Fear Factory, Fjoergyn, Gernotshagen, Godflesh, Iced Earth, Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest, Kreator, Kyuss, Malevolent Creation, Mechanical Poet, Meshuggah, Nagelfar, Naglfar, Negura Bunget, Opeth, Orphaned Land, Primal Scream, Psychotic Waltz, Sear Bliss, Sepultura, The Dining Rooms, The Doors, The Gladiators, Thievery Corporation, Ulver, Usurper, Winds.
Most of it is metal as you can see but I also venture in various different genres hence my interest for avant garde and out of the box music.
I am 23 years old, about to start studying and have a lovely girlfriend. I am currently preparing a review to apply as a writer for agm.com so expect to hear more from me in the future.
Salutations,
Trident

Greetings!
My name is Ugo, I'm from Recife, a very beautiful city in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. I'm 17 years old and my favourite genres are progressive metal/rock, avantgarde metal, heavy metal, thrash metal, hard rock, jazz and erudit music. My favourite bands are Rush, Arcturus, Dream Theater and Transatlantic. I also enjoy listening to Devil Doll, Candlemass, The Who, Samael and many others.
I don't play any instrument [ what a shame ], but I want very much to learn keyboards! I love the work of Steinar Sverd Johnsen, he rocks! I also like Jordan Rudess' work, Neal Morse's and Jon Lord's.
One of my favourite artists in the metal scene is Mike Portnoy. He rocks! I've listened to almost all his side projects! The best are Yellow Matter Custard and Mike Portnoy's Amazing Journey, all the guys that play with him rock too.
And I love football, haha

 HELLo folks!
Greetings to my fellow Freak-Flag Flyers!
I've already posted my music project in the "promotions" forum, but I'll say hi here, too.
I've been a metal-head for MANY, many years (I'm in my mid 40's). I listen to many styles of music, but I always find my way back to metal of some kind, mainly intelligent, technical, progressive and avant-garde styles. But I've also discovered much interesting in the avant-black metal area.
Newer bands like Shining, Wolves in the Throne Room, Agalloch, Drottnar. Gorguts "Obscura" recording is still very advanced listening. Hey, try listening to Blotted Science's "The Machinations of Dementia". Very technical, progressive, and downright wacko!
I also love the older bands like Celtic Frost (very avant-garde in their prime!). I'm really up for anything dark, challenging, and maybe even with some melody.

Hallo,
my name is Jason, im 15, and I play in a metal band, and I also have my solo stuff available at http://www.myspace.com/jasonbarge. It is mainly Experimental stuff, which doesnt really have a genre. I used to have one section of a song metal, then the next blues, then the next classical for example. but now i like to take elements of one genre and add them to another. In one of my recent songs I am working on, I have mixed baroque style harpsicord music with metal singing and funky guitars.
I can play many instruments:
Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Banjitar, Mandolin, Harmonica, Kazoo, Recorder, Bugle, Accordian and drums.
Although I am very fond of metal and experimental and classical music, my favourite band is The Beatles.

hello everyone! I'm new - I've already introduced myself but I missed this topic...
so, I'm Attila, 18, I'm from Hungary, and I'm at school. Just like most of you, I like unique music that differs from the mainstream, interesting/changing stuff, fusion of genres, especially avantgarde, experimental, jazz, post-metal, prog, drone, sludge, ambient, plus most music that can't be categorized
I play the guitar, I'm trying to work on some solo stuff.

I am a lovely ninja by the name of Benji.
I'm from the US and I've never been outside it.
I play guitar and a little bit of mandolin but I wouldn't say I'm too great at it. I sound pretty much like you'd expect a guitar player to play the mandolin.
In the future I hope to learn to play bass, keyboards, violin, and I've been interested in an erhu ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erhu ) as of late since they're so cheap and sound so cool.
I like a lot of different kinds of music. Mostly rock, metal, and avant garde. I have a strong love for progressive and fancy songwriting and technique, but an even stronger love for the very experimental.
My interest in avant garde began with hearing Dog Fashion Disco, now one of my favorite bands, and that lead to Mr.Bungle which lead to Naked City.
I don't currently have a serious music project due to lack of money and resources but it shouldn't be long before I get something off the ground.

Hello falks
I'm new, my names Richard and I'm from italy, 22years old.
I'm actually studing university of viticolture and enology; i'm interested in sports (basketball and winter sports), hanging around up and down the hills just outside where I live, walking in the mountains, and naturally music.
I listen to many different kinds of metal, even thank my distorted mind, that took me to explore other musical horizons.
Beside thrash, death, black metal I also listen to doom/funeral doom, avantgarde, electronic, industrial, EBM, ambient, and psichedelic rock.
My favorite bands are Strapping Young Lad, Hypocrisy, Satyricon and many many others.
That's all falks
