I'm new, my names Richard and I'm from italy, 22years old.
I'm actually studing university of viticolture and enology; i'm interested in sports (basketball and winter sports), hanging around up and down the hills just outside where I live, walking in the mountains, and naturally music.
I listen to many different kinds of metal, even thank my distorted mind, that took me to explore other musical horizons. Beside thrash, death, black metal I also listen to doom/funeral doom, avantgarde, electronic, industrial, EBM, ambient, and psichedelic rock.
My favorite bands are Strapping Young Lad, Hypocrisy, Satyricon and many many others.
That's all falks
welcome dragonfly! (maybe see you tonight at the vigne's bar or in the reharsal room;))

Hello folks
I'm from this little piece of land where we produce chocolate, occasionnaly called Switzerland; but not from the bloody german part, I'm a french native speaker. I'm 20 and currently studying philosophy at university, a traveller that has yet to travel, got various interests and bla-bla-blah. Ok, muuusic now.
Favorite bands include Pain of Salvation, The Gathering, Ulver, Anathema, Arcturus, In the Woods..., Solefald, Dead Can Dance, Manes, Virgin Black and love for many progressive acts (from Yes to Riverside) and avant-garde thing (from Zappa to Kayo Dot) and quite a few other genres and bands (like Open Minded).
I'm already busy spreading avant-garde education on the net so I'm not sure how much time I'll spend here, but anyway, mongoshitfacedtabletwisters, salut!

Hello freaks and friends,
just registered to this forum. Since the mid nineties I wrote for various fanzines, for some more or less professional (and thus quite boring) mags and since 2007 I try to develop www.soundsurface.com. Right now three issues are in work and #5 is said to feature even interviews with some editors from the AGM network…
In the last three years I helped Prophecy and its sublabels in the A&R department, so yes, I’m a big fan of Nucleus Torn, Secrets of the Moon, Negura Bunget, Drautran and the likes…
…nevertheless I’ve been into some boring metal scene concepts for too long and so I totally enjoy discovering music from other fields of music. Scene wise nothing frustrates me more than the growth of the stupidity which allows the introduction of nazi ideology into metal. Thus I like to visit AGM from time to time since it offers many fresh perspectives and not the usual standard bullshit.
Job- & life-wise it’s quite the same: I’m fascinated by changing perspectives on what we easily call “normal” / “usual” /etcetera. I like to think about ideas of “social constructivism” and how ideas develop, be it the idea that it is “normal” that we use media in a specific way, or the idea that it is “normal” to abort children when they`re said to become “disabled”…
Yes, and I hate “normal” music
t.

I see you did some great work through the years, and it's good to have such a person here on the bord...I myself am a fan of most of the prophecy artists, it's a great label
It will be interesting to see the interviews with our editors

These are quite good for recommendation. SOTM and NB have several really outstanding songs, especially on the new albums. As I understand (or perceive) it, most Prophecy-bands have a deep spiritual, philosophical and sometimes ritual touch to their music. SOTM´s "Antithesis" was one of the best german BM-Releases for 2006. No stupid NSBM or Tr00-stuff, but real artists there. BTW their sublabel is "Lupus Lounge".

Oh, now I get it... I guess I am not completely mistaken in assuming that your last name starts with a "W", Mr. Trollthor?
Welcome on the forum, good to have you on board.

Thanks for the kind welcome! Prophecy’s history is long and weird and there are way too many artists and bands, so everybody interested in the roster can check out www.prophecy.cd – but I’m not here to pester the forum with advertisement for a company I sometimes help, so I keep it that short. And Tentakel, you’re not mistaken…
