Thanks for letting me know about this. I've been waiting for this for a while! Love their debut, and the new material sounds even better. Love the mix of old school energy and progressive quirkiness.
The upcoming Gorguts pretty much obliterates my ability to care about anything else. I'm trying to keep realistic expectations--I don't expect it to challenge the supremacy of Obscura in any way, but if it isn't the next best thing I will be very disappointed.

Vortex' solo album (myspace update, december 2010):
"Howdy!
I finally got the master tape of the first ICS Vortex album! "Storm Seeker" contains 11 tracks and holds 45 minutes of groovy hooks and signature clean vocals. Brewed in a dirty metal pot, ingrediens included are Stoner Rock mashed with BM, 70's prog spiked Pagan and alternative roots fried Norwegian style. Some of the song titles are "Skoal!", "Dogsmacked", "Oil in Water" and "Odin's Tree"."
I am not sure what I was expecting but probably not this...

Until I hear that I'll still not know what the hell to expect, really. I'm only sure that it will feature some clean singing and much metal. In fact, I'd like to see what he can do with his voice outside a pure metal scenario, but anyway I want to listen to that.
Also, he seems very secretive with that. I'd like to know the line up of it, and instead a vague description of the style he could put some sample or teaser online. Also knowing the label that will release it (and the date) would be nice, or maybe he hasn't got a deal yet and so he doesn't publish anything yet.

Hm... Well it'll be good hearing his voice in a band that's not dimmu börigr for once! Even if the riffs are only half-good, his sense of melody as a singer will make up for it & leave it at least a good album. No sense of raising any expectations at this point, I'll just take it for what it ever might be... Though I'd sure love to see an Arcturus-related line-up. Hellhammer behind the kit is almost certain, if it isn't Asgeir Mikkelsen or what the Borknagar guy is called.

April 15: Sarke - Oldarhian
I was not overly impressed by the first album but I am going to check this one out regardless.
April 26: Primordial - Redemption At The Puritan's Hand
I only discovered Primordial last year but I really like their last four albums so expectations for this one are pretty high.

I remember the times when Primordial posted news on myspace. So late April, cool, let's see if it goes better than To the Nameless Dead or down the worse road... Also, Fucking Facebook wrote: Primordial support will come from TODGELICHTER from Germany...........
Wow!

Oh, I was thinking of an European thing. Pity. Anyway I already knew for sure that any euro tour wouldn't reach the North of Africa.

666 International will be reissued with two bonus tracks, one previously unreleased and reconstructed, etc etc. Available on 21st of March. Since I never got around to purchasing a copy of the original, this is great news.

Quote: The time has finally come to officially unveil some valuable news about MORBID ANGEL! The seminally influential Extreme Metal band has set "Illud Divinum Insanus" as the title of their eagerly awaited forthcoming album, which has been scheduled for a June 6th release (one day later in North America).
"Illud Divinum Insanus" will be MORBID ANGEL's eighth studio album, and the first since legendary frontman David Vincent rejoined the fold.
Prior to the release of the album, a single for the song "Nevermore" will be out on May 16th as 7" vinyl and digital download. The B side will be another song from the album, remixed by COMBICHRIST.
COMBICHRIST?!?!?

Combichrist remixing Morbid Angel? Hmmmm better be superior to Laibach's remix. The title has 'anus' on it, so the album must not be very good. Also, releasing on 6th June is just too late, it's 2011, not 2006. Not really looking forward to it. Hint: kidding.
