It is usually the weekend (more precisely thu-sat) in the middle of August. A week after Wacken, a week before Summer Breeze.

If you reach Prague, then it is not a problem to go there, two hours by train or so.

You guys in Europe really seem to get the best music festivals.

Here in the States we have to dredge thru Ozzfest, the Warped Tour (a bunch of whiny screamo bands), and the attempted horrible comeback of Lollapalooza.

At least I'm within a half-hour drive of the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest.

That Hamburg is an amazing and beautiful city where life can tell the most amazing stories thanks to its cosmopolitan flair and history of internationality and exchange of new ideas in pretty much every sector of human life that has spawned a very special kind of open, nice and progressive people!

Well, aren't there some death metal festivals, like Maryland and that kinda stuff? But then again you gotta be quite interested in death to go there.

I just hear these amazing stories about it. I hope that one day I can live there! I really do. Problem is that Hamburg isn´t quite the place for spacecraft engineering at university is it?

I would love to come and see it for a weekend once! But these days my weekends are planned for studying and/or visiting my girlfriend in Croatia.

yeah I've never been to it, but it seems to always have a nice lineup. I hope to go this year, but it depends where I'll be living this summer.

I really wanted to go last year, that was one of the most amazing line up I have ever seen!! I was shocked, when I read the bands playing

Only extreme bands, from all extreme genres (death, black, industrial, doom), lovely....but the most amazing thing was the ticket price: how much was it? 30-40euros for all days?

If I am not mistaken, it was 666 Czech crowns in advance-sale, so it means around 24 euro...

Here in Italy for the Gods Of Metal Festival, for only 1 day you go to spend 60euro, 1 fucking beer costs 4euro, 3euro for a bottle of water without the tap, so you have to finish it immediately...incredible

Yep, that is completely different here - 0,5 l of beer costs 1 euro, even in the festival But it is dangerous - it can lead down the fans to drink too much instead to watch the bands; and it would be a pity with such a line-up (that was on Brutal Assault last year f.ex.).
Maybe sounds funny, but I have better a non-alcohol modus during these fests... People wonder then, how it is possible that I saw (and perceived!) all the bands I wanted

I would never buy alcohol at a show or fest...it's money I could buy on band merch, and I want to be able to actually listen to the music.
