I didn't really knew what to expect, but it's surprisingly cool indeed! Very avantgarde, specially the wicked intermezzo's

Now that we have recorded this, has anyone any ideas what to do with it? It seems a shame to let this song fall into oblivion. Furthermore, that was quite fun, so maybe we can start a second one? Anyone care to provide a riff/melody?

hry i was hoping when someone would ask !! let us post hi quality mp3 to both mixes of the song (the original based on dimx x rhtym and the epic one based on your drum parts)..we could have a new link in the menu : downloads or mp3
secondly i have just started out working on 2 (maybe 3 ) songs from pink floyd's the wall for the tribute album (as proposed by bend dan eslewhere on this forum)...i was looking for a collabarator....bend will be playing the bass (i think)....would you care for drums, senor tentakel ? the songs are empty spaces / what shall we do and mother
i was hoping ot make a crusty sludgy thrasy song outta what shall we do...and an industrial haunting pice outta empty spaces...mother i am still thinking...maybe a bit like late period obliveon covering it....i dunno...whatdya think.....

That would be great, and I very much like to help you out with the drums! I am going to record drums for ENMERKAR in a few weeks, planning to do that on 11th of may. It would be great if I knew until then what to drum, because I can easily add this to the recording session. It is always a pain in the ass to prepare the drums for recording, so I´d like to do that only once for two sessions if I can.
As I am not really familiar with crust, maybe you could provide me with some pattern you deem appropriate? Something I can develop forward from? Yust some programmed sketch maybe, or an example.

the songs are empty spaces / young lust....
young lust is a typical classic rock floyd tune so i waan accelarte it to double time at least......
the crust beat, is slighty mor eheavy thudding version of the typical de-beat............kinda like a polka but more metal
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-beat
see the above for the three major examples of the de-beat..it is basically the easist beat in punk/metal...have you heard you lust though ? give it a listen...the chorus should be double bassed....i will give you the detailed structure in aday or two along with the tempo...

hey man been crushed under commitments
it was the tempo that i ws thinking of...
160 BPM it is....
polta thrash/d-beat type rhythm with many wonderful patented tentakel p rolls, plus one section with continous double bass (the chorus).......
no blasts though........we'll save those for our next death metal masterpiece
have you heard the song Young lust yet ? if you havent i can email it to you..........once you have heard it, just imagine Discharge and Destruction covering it
i will hopefully convince Cal to provide some guitar / vox sickness to this
once you are done upload the wav files only (pls no midi) to mediafire or sendspace...and we are on our way...btw, do you play any other instruments

Good tempo! Suleiman wrote: no blasts though........we'll save those for our next death metal masterpiece Why no 320 Bpm-blasting? Wanna check why I´m called Tentakel Parkinson? Grind forever... No, Pink Floyd and blasts is probably not too compatible. Suleiman wrote: have you heard the song Young lust yet ? if you havent i can email it to you.......... Please do! E-mail is in the about-section. Shall I keep it true to the original song-structure? Suleiman wrote: i will hopefully convince Cal to provide some guitar / vox sickness to this Great! Btw, what´s the deadline? I am not able to record this month, because my wife needs the laptop I am recording on for her exams, no way for me to use it until June. Suleiman wrote: once you are done upload the wav files only (pls no midi) to mediafire or sendspace...and we are on our way...btw, do you play any other instruments
Why no MIDI? I will convert my base and snare anyway to get better sound results through sampling as I have only two mic-amplifier on my soundcard. It would be best if the person mixing was to choose the samples, but I can always do the sampling myself and send you finished Audio-files if you like...
Other instruments? I stopped playing classical violin (no, I´m not that good anymore) eight years back, and aside from some beginners bassguitar-playing skills I can play the triangle and the metal bucket

i will email you the song seperately ...rememeber that similar structure and length , but at the speed of 160 bpm.....actually i was thinking why the hell not blasts......go carzy man pink floyd at 320 is just at good as 160 bpm
so we have three sections.......
normal d-beat /thrash polka with rolls at 160 bps
d-beat / thrash with constant dwouble bass and rolls at 160 bps
insane blast at 320 bps.....
lets give-em a tribute they wouldnt forget.........i got some great crunchy ugly tones happening with the guitar rig..........
the deadline (self imposed) is around end of july...if thats ok by you...my wife and kid leave for paksitan at the end of june so i'll have a month /plus the laptop for the tribute song plus the new BUrzukh stuff........
I totally trust you with choise of kick/snare/tom and hi=hat/ride/crash samples man....take my vote of confidence and roll with it.....just remeber the vibe : discharge / destruction
thanx a tonne....!!! looking forward to collabarting with you

Will be hard but I´ll try! Managed 300 last time.
As for sampling: Only base and snare for extra drive and sound. The rest (Overheads and Toms) will stay as they are, just some volume changings. Just like last time with the AGM-song... Okay, let´s roll! And please send me the song to my e-mail soon so I can plan my recording-session, will ya?

Is this thread/project still alive?
If so i would love to participate in any new song.
I can play the guitar as well as doing vocals (clean/growls/high pitched screams/whatever you want).

@ nattram : hell yeah ! im alwasy looking for callaborators....im completing the new burzukh and doing 2 pink floyd covers..but im open...usually we start out with a wave file of a riff, a beat, a keyboar dline etc to get the ball rolling..if you have an idean sketched out upload it as wav to zshare or media fire and we can collabarte back and forth....mention tempos and root notes/chords (if applicable)
are you cool with mixing : cakewalk or sonar...coz it would be helpful ?
