And by the way I saw Animal Collective live yesterday here in Montreal, and it was an amazing experience, very powerful and emotional. Anyone familiar with this particular band has to know that they really have drastically changed over the past two years. I had heard they were heading for a more poppy direction, but how wrong. The concert began with what I would call some massively ambient psy-trance beat with both Panda Bear and Avey Tarey doing their psychedelic singing duos, while Geologist kept feeding the whole sound with his deep drones and subteranean rumbles. No bass guitar at all, guitar on only a few tracks, and everything else was totally electronic, whish-woosh-wash-like-ambient with two challenging vocalists creating weird harmonies. I was especially psyched about the techno shit these guys were getting into. It was mad I should say
