Hmm, what about Tyranny? They are really sick... Of course some others bands well known by their slowliness and sickness like Skepticism, Unholy, Winter, Esoteric, Shape of Despair... Maybe Mythological Cold Towers would be a fine tip as well...

I hear Mythological Cold Towers have turned away from doom on the later releases, going for a more Bal-Sagothy symphonic fantasy-thing... or am I completely wrong here? I was just wondering, I've never listened to anything older than 2005, I just keep returning to them in mind because of their awesome band-name.

Haha, you could do it one week ago (see my post above where they are listed ).
Saw them once live, absolutely surreal experience... A 30 minutes long song with few riffs, maximum hypnotic...

I can recommend Celestial Season's "Solar Lovers."

Yup, THAT is a classic - combines drone-doom, with some oddly placed blast-beats to change things up a bit.
Hey, anyone mention Runemagick, yet? Maybe I did and forgot already. Doom/Stoner metal will do that to you.
Oh, Sleep's "Holy Mountain". Again, someone might've mentioned it already.

Yesterday saw here in Prague the mighty Saturnus together with the amazing experimental ambient-doom-death band Mar de Grises from Chille! They represent the real (and rare) avant-garde in doom genre.
I enjoyed yet their debut album Tatterdemalion Express some years ago, but I thought that they were disappearing from the scene right after this release... How surprised was I when saw the notice, that not only they still exist, but they also have a new album and they arrived to Europe for a small tour!
Very glad that they did not miss my hometown! The atmosphere of the gig was exciting, like all the doom gigs here. Our audience seems to be very supportive and understanding about doom metal, be it Swallow the Sun, Agalloch, Novembers Doom or now Saturnus and Mar de Grises.¨
If you do not know MdG, I highly recommend to check them out on myspace or so...
