So are most of us here in this forum - we're all wannabe metal superstars - legends in our own minds and proud of it
I think you'll find this forum very open-minded and intelligent (for metal-heads, anyway...)
Glad to welcome all the newcomers!!

 Who are you?
My name is Ron
I am freak zone member # 159
My screen name here at AGM.COM is 20286-7369-2. That number is The barcode for the US 1st Edtion of Mercyful Fates "Melissa" on Megaforce Records, via Important-Relativity.
I have been a metal fan since 1979/1980, just at the right place at the right time. Lucky Me.
I appreciate every type of metal traditional, extreme and avantgarde.
I live around the US/ Candian Border, I want to make a escape to Canada, but in my local area, I have one of the world greatest record stores, were I find tons and tons of World Class Heavy Metal. So I am staying put stateside, for now.
My favorite publications are Kick Ass Monthly (1980-1986) and there oversea rivals Metal Forces, Snakepit Heavy Metal Magazine out of France, Voices for the darkside webzine in Germany. Sounds of Death, and Avantgarde-Metal.
I start every morning off with Crest of Darkness " The Ogress" and some Mercyful Fate of the original vinatge-era 1982-1984. I have a dangerous job as a chainsaw operator, so I live everyday to the maximum. I have seen alot of freak accidents at work, so I am always grateful to be alive everyday. And I rate Avantgarde-metal.com as one of the greatest webzines and magazines in the history of metallic journalism.

My name is aaron. I have been into music my entirely life. I have gradually progressed from every style you can imagine into this guy who loves progressive music, metal, and just generally everything (besides hip hop and country). I have played bass for almost 7 years and it is my major at school (studying under gloria estefan's bassist and band leader and i love it. I am a Christian with certain questions still lingering and doubts but I am nevertheless. Hopefully within the next year my band can submit something here. cheers.

Gday from Tasmania, Australia! My name is Ben, and for those who might ask, yes I have met Psycroptic (albeit briefly after a gig)
I am 16 and currently completing year 10.
I listen to pretty much everything, mainly good old ordinary death metal, with a bit of classical every now and then, enjoy a bit of progressive/experimental once in a while too. I like to know everything about music, and I'm trying to achieve this by listening to everything out there.
I play drums in a progressive/experimental thrash/death band, not so much avantgarde but with a similar mentality. I write most of the material for this band, and try to incorporate all my different influences to create a different sound that avoids fitting into any strict sub-genre (as many bands seem happy to do these days), rather creates a particular sound that is unique to our band while holding to metal as a wider genre. We have 15 songs written so far, and in my opinion, they only get better as we go!
I also play classical trumpet, which is something fun and different. My hobbies, well music of course. Academically I'm interested in maths and science, don't mind a bit of English.
I'm not so much of a beer drinker, bit more of a Scotch fan to be honest - Johnnie Walker in particular, although I don't mind a bit of Canadian Club every now and then.
Anyways, that's enough from me, or I could be here all night!
Ben

Bulgarian women are hot. I think. Whatever you do, do not download porn from Brazil. Do not. Sorry. Help me. I have been corrupted and my wife will put a parental lock on my computer.
