@ben : glad u downloaded it ! grunge ? maybe...
so you plan to play the bass ?...or any other instrument or vox ...as you wish..the more the merrier

@tentakel p : wow ! that was like in min-lesson on th epain of drum editing..though i wrongly boast of recording experience , i honestly had no clue as what goes into the recording and editing of live drums....go right ahead...and post the finished product when ur done...this will be a killer tribute hopefully !

anyone else wanna jump in, feel free.

It sound ok like it is.
I don't think I'll bring a new dimension by playing the bass. But I'll do it on another of your cover if you wish.
And I'm a terrible singer who would like to enjoy this tribute... so no vocals by me (or the less possible)

hey cool ...can you lay the bass frame work for one other track.....

empty spaces...basically play the exact same root notes as the original at the same tempo.......ditto same structure as the orginal song....try using a bass tone somewhere between neurosis and his hero is gone.......i got something really $%#! planned for that one......if u have the time

...and that´s just the cheap, hobby way of doing it... I have been to professional studios several times and I bet our engineer still has nightmares from editing our double-bass and blast parts (he does Metal/Metalcore mainly).

i know the song (well not on bass but it seems easy), but how do you want me to record it, just exactly along with the original or with a different tempo?

So do you want me to do the other track ?
I can do it.

Btw, what tempo will we use ? I have some tabs at 95bpm or 96bpm or 100bpm.

95 or 96 seem the good ones.
And 96bpm is better if one of us have to adjust a delay or something...

@ ben : yeah i would love to have your bass track...i'll mix and match both tracks and layer both together in some parts

95 bpm seems good...(bassist of light pls note)

and please both of you make sure that the bass notes are for the entire duration of the actual song...meaning if the song has any parts where there appears to be no bass, just ensure you follow the melody lines.........

this is gonna be a skull krush !!!

If anyone got a song/band/project still missing vocals I would be more than glad to try it as I wasnt able to engage in any music creation for the last months and am desperate to try myself on a "real" song again and of course get some feedback.
