I'd prefer vice versa. A Motörhead-cover would not be as unlikely as a Manowar-cover, so I'd prefer the latter.

"1349 Are currently putting their last touch to the bands new album entitled
"REVELATIONS OF THE BLACK FLAME", follow- up to 2005's Hellfire. As both Hellfire
and Beyond the Apocalypse, the album is recorded at Studio Studio Nyhagen, and
co-mixed by none other than Tom Gabriel Fischer.
No release date is scheduled as of yet, but
the album is due sometime during the 1st half of 2009."

yes you're right, they quit!!
maybe they prefered to focus more on Atrox, shame that Binoculat didn't say me anything, much much better How The World Came To An End of Manes at this point....
Anyway, can't wait to hear the new 1349 album, and also Blut Aus Nord, and of course Red Harvest

It's a little more streamlined than their last, but I think it works...at first it sounds a little tame, but it may be their most experimental yet.
Looking forward to these this year...
Valborg - Glorification of Pain
Blut Aus Nord - Dialogue
Ulcerate - Everything is Fire
Orgone - The Joyless Parson
Skaldic Curse - World Suicide Machine
Organ - 7", been waiting ages for this, they were supposed to release a full length 2 years ago--what happened?
Smohalla - ?
Sveta Istina Vjestica - Witches in the Air
Sickening Horror - ?
Augury - ?
Darvulia - ?

Thanks! I remember reading that there would be no "disharmonies" in the new one, and I was hoping this report was wrong...unfortunately it wasn't, if this track is anything to go by. It's still original and progressive in a way that only BAN can be, but I miss the dissonance...I might grow to like it, but at the moment I am very disappointed. The Absu song on that page sounded pretty good, though.

Memoria Vetusta II, from the sound of that track, will probably be the juiciest black metal item of 09. There are some disharmonic notes in there, which I hoped for but didn't expect, and just about every riff is pure gold. So there's that, and:
Meshuggah headlining tour
Opeth and Enslaved on the SAME STAGE
New Katatonia album
My return to Yosemite ("epic" doesn't even come close)
And maybe Obama will make every scene kid actually use their brain (ending haircut-related eye and neck ailments), turn every bro into CCC workers, and finally abolish one-note breakdowns and "Oops, all blastbeats" metal. The economy will recover, Sarah Palin will be cooked into a tasty pork roast, sportsmen will turn their guns on themselves, the planet will cool, avantgarde metal will be played at the White House, the native Gods will return, and we'll finally get some fucking rain in L.A.
Well, maybe.
"Let me dream. (Let the jewels gleam.) Let the fallen hear: 'It never rains around here.'"
